Yvonne shifted on the couch. She looked straight into Carol’s eyes, pleading. “There’s just something inside me that keeps wanting to be free. To do something. To live, to experience things. To be happy. Can’t you understand that?”
How does Yvonne find the freedom and happiness she wants? She feels she will never find it at home. All that happens there is arguing. There’s no real freedom at school.
The only time Yvonne really feels free is with boyfriend Craig. So is the answer to drop out of school and run away with him?
